Marshall Rosenberg offered this evening workshop in Cleveland, Ohio in autumn of 1991:
Resolving Conflicts with Children Thursday, November 21, 1991 // 7:00 – 9:30pm Nuclear Age Resource Center @ Cuyahoga Community College Eastern Campus – East 1 Bldg, 4250 Richmond Road, Cleveland, Ohio |
This was a very different time. Now more than 30 years have passed.
You will go back to the crisis of the Gulf War that ended in February of 19911, where Saddam Hussein had ordered his military to move into Kuweit and the US helped to reestablish territorial integrity to Kuweit in direct military conflict with Iraq under Sadam Hussein. Marshall touches on this topic.
In the USSR an unsuccessful coup in August 1991 would lead to the end of the USSR by December 1991. All of Europe was experienced fundamental change and Marshall talks about hopeful beginnings of nonviolent communication in Eastern Europe, including his visit in Russia.
And Marshall tells about his first experiences with setting up school in the spirit of nonviolent communication around 1970.
